My most favorite song ever, by the amazing Arcade Fire.
Reading through the lyrics tons of times, I often guessed different interpretations for the song - but there's a specific one that stuck in my head. I get the image of "Noah's Ark" when listening to it - a new place, which is hard to reach, and the orderly manner of how the people set on the journey.. they don't know where they're going, but they're hoping it's a better place.
The piece itself describes the process of their journey (from right to left). At first, beholding the somber view, secretly hoping for revival.. then, the (imaginary) ship that takes them to a distinctive place, somewhere they've never been before; notice the imaginary ship, since the song obviously states a place where "no ship go", so this is more like an enchanted vehicle that man can't create. Finally, the dove finds the craved place, where no cars go.
Us kids know.
Stocks used: resurgere's great capture and some other google / sxc.hu stocks for the minor stuff (ship, bird, etc).
